After installing the filter I initially had issues with my front-loader leaking a lot of water. A few adjustments later and I've now done 4 loads without any leaks. All seems to be working fine and I'm looking forward to seeing how much microplastic the filter catches. Will update in another 20 washes.
I've not been using the filter very long and it appears to be a good product. I have a feeling that the filters are not going to last very long so replacing them regularly is going to be an expensive job.
Hi Nicola, thank you for your honest feedback — we really appreciate you taking the time to share this.
We’re glad to hear you’re already seeing the value in preventing microfiber pollution. That’s exactly why we built PlanetCare.
You’re absolutely right that cartridge lifespan can vary. It depends on a few things: how often you wash, the types of fabrics (cotton vs synthetic), load size, and how the bypass is used.
We’re continuously working to make our system as efficient and cost-effective as possible — both for you and for the environment.
If you ever have questions about optimizing usage or getting the most out of your cartridges, feel free to reach out — we’re always happy to help.
Warmly,
Team PlanetCare
We can only take responsibility for our own actions; plastics have become such an enormous problem. Being able to remove some of the microfibres from our clothes is one thing we can do and I’m so happy to be given this means of filtering them out with PlanetCare’s washing machine filters. Apart from being easy to install, the most surprising and satisfying thing is the reasonable cost, and, even more, being able to return the used cartridges for free! I wish other planet-friendly products were as affordable.
I think this is the easiest way in the world to help sustain ocean life!
The company has worked with me so beautifully with every question I have had., Even replacing a part that I dropped and broke. Their care is not just limited to the planet! They care for and are very responsive to their customers!
I have just put a new system in place for myself to remember to change my filter. I have not been good about that. It is the easiest thing to do, but I just forget. The tightening tool they have is a must! It makes the process so easy!
I am beyond impressed and totally thrilled with both the company and the product!! Thank you for your concern and action on behalf of our planet.

The filter is easy enough to fit despite my washing machine’s location. Early days yet but I’ve done a couple of loads in both bypass and filter modes. All seams fine with no leaks. It will be a few weeks until a filter change that I’ll be able to see the results.
At The Beatles Story, we are proud to share our positive experience with PlanetCare following our recent purchase of a washing machine filter for our facilities. As a visitor attraction welcoming over 300K guests each year, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously and strive to ensure that sustainability is at the heart of our operations.
PlanetCares washing machine filter pack has been an excellent addition to our efforts and was recommended to us as part of our Green Tourism accreditation.
Installation was simple and efficient, and the quality of the product is clear. The filter provides a practical and effective way of preventing microfibres from entering our waterways, helping us to "Come Together" in protecting the planet for future generations.
We particularly appreciate PlanetCare’s circular approach, offering a cartridge return system that aligns perfectly with our own commitment to responsible practices.
Much like the message behind “All You Need Is Love,” their work demonstrates that small, collective actions can create real change.
For us, adopting this filter is more than a technical upgrade — it’s part of a wider journey to ensure our story is not just about the past of The Beatles, but also about shaping a sustainable future. PlanetCare is helping us play our part, reminding us that the earth is something we can all “get by with a little help” to protect.
We highly recommend PlanetCare to other organisations seeking reliable, innovative, and environmentally conscious solutions.
We aren’t very handy so we were a bit nervous to fiddle with the water hoses but it was actually super easy! So far it works great: no leaks, and excited that we are reducing our plastic footprint on the world
Wir haben beide Versionen bestimmt schon über zwei Jahre.
Beide Filter funktionieren perfekt und es ist immer wieder unglaublich, was man mit den Filtern aus dem Waschwasser holt.
Klasse Sache !!!

It took some figuring out to find the right place for it. Had to pull washer forward and push dryer back to put on side. Makes me feel good knowing i am keeping fibers out of our mountain water supply.
I sent in a question via the website and heard back within a day with a direct answer to my question, from a real human. My follow-up questions were answered very quickly and the staff communicated about delivery updates and updated my delivery address for me.
The filter truly was as easy to install as was advertised. I'm thrilled with the product, I was specifically looking for something that was just a mechanical filter without an app and data tracking and that is what i got.
Installing was easy peasy. Everyone should have one. It shouldn't be a choice for consumers. The filter would be really easy to install into all washing machines coming out of the factory. But until that time: I'm happy filtering out microplastics.
The outer case is a larger diameter and hard to grip the bottom casing with your hands while gripping the top. This should work quite well to open them from one another. The sealing ring gasket keeps these two parts from leaking but get very snug even hand tightened which is all you should ever have to tighten after filter replacement. Handy tool!
I' very satisfied with the newly purchased Planetcare The plastic residues trapped by the filter after a few washes showed - if proof were needed - just how essential it is to combat this type of pollution.
