We have now been using the PlanetCare filtering system for 2 years and we keep being so pleased with it because it is always very impressive to see what these filters capture. One has no idea what a simple wash delivers as deposits that go into nature afterwards. We are grateful that you did, an easy solution to solve some of our environmental footprint.
We just placed an order for renewal cartridges they will let us go for another 2 years I guess.
Thank you for your contribution to nature.

I fitted this to my washing machine and was so surprised by the amount the filter collected and what could be going into the water system. Not only a great product but opened my eyes to the problem.
It does the job, easy to install and replace, helps the planet, company very helpful, and with subscription I just don't have to think about it.
PlanetCare is a product that I have been interested in since I heard about it in 2019. I am using it on my washing machine and know that my choice is helping to reduce marine plastic microfibre pollution.
Thank you PlanetCare for providing a much needed solution to help reduce marine pollution.
Instructions were easy to follow and the parts were easy to assemble. The unit just about fitted in the space between my machine and the cupboard. I stuck the unit to my washing machine with the adhesive strips but after about an hour (and before I had used it) the unit came unstuck as the top sticky strip had come off the bracket. Would have been useful to have a spare sticky strip (or two). Solved by using self adhesive velcro squares on the unit to hold it onto the cupboard. Now working perfectly after tightening the holder properly to stop it leaking. It's a good idea to watch the first empty of the machine to check everything is OK (with an old towel to hand in case there are any leaks) . Maybe this needs to be added to the instructions for non plumbers! Only four stars due to my problem with the sticky strips else it would have been a five.
There's very little space between my washer and the wall which makes it very tricky for me to change filter cartridges. This tool makes it so much easier now because I can use it to unscrew the cup without trying to squeeze my hand in there. Congrats Planetcare team for thinking of every detail! xoxo
Hi there Planet Care team,
We are still loving your product, it makes us happy every time we change a filter and see how much microplastic we have saved from entering the oceans.
But we both need reading glasses to see small numbers, and sometimes we don't have them with us when going to the washing machine. So I made this very simple counter from some cardboard, and now we are sure to count accurately to 20, and then change the filter.
Best wishes from,
Peter - Environmental Sustainability Partner with METSTRADE the world's largest Marine Equipment Trade Show in Amsterdam
P.s. I have worked in cooperation with Plastic Soup Foundation, and it was attending their Plastic Health summit in 2019 that I learned about your product from your founder Mojca Zupan, as she made an excellent presentation there.
I started out with the mini starter kit, I wanted to see how and if it worked first. Now that I have, I've ordered more filters and when the time comes, I will return a whole box of used cartridges. I really support your collecting and re-using system. Anyway, thank you for the service that you and PlanetCare provide.
Hello there, i'd like to take this oportunity to thank you for your service and i'm glad, and also a little proud, to inform you that the filter has been installed and it's working like a charm!
There was a delay in receiving my filter and I was missing a few cartridges but PlanetCare has managed it super well. So thank you for your great customer service; I really appreciate your support!
We tried everything out there and Planetcare is the only thing that actually caught something more than my hair. My husband and I were convinced once we saw the dirty cartridges - really disgusting, I can't believe we were sending this dirt down the drain before. I guess this is one of those things that once you see it, you can't unsee it. Now I wish I could buy filters for all our friends! Keep up the good work
I used to use Cora ball and Guppybag and none of them did the job. Cora ball is good for catching hair - but honestly, that's all it ever caught from my laundry. And Guppybag is not really practical if you have 2 kids like us and there's a lot of clothes you need to wash. It's just impossible to fit everything into a bag, plus I had no idea what to do with the fibers after catching them. I found Planetcare via an Instagram ad and after doing some research I decided to give it a try. I LOVE IT! We installed it in literally less than 10 minutes and now I don't have to worry anymore. Every time we do laundry, Planetcare takes care of catching the microfibers and all I need to do is replace the filter cartridge once in a while. I noticed that frequency can vary a lot - sometimes the cartridge lasts up to 18-20 washes but if we wash a lot of cotton fabric then we need to replace it already after 14-15 washes. But I understand why and we're totally okay with that. I love this company and the people behind Planetcare! Thank you for building something to stop microfiber pollution that actually works!
My partner and I changed to filter number 4 last night and we worked out the cost per day - for us, it's something like 37 cents a day. That's nothing! Thank you for making your filters.
We try to reduce our family's plastic pollution and this filter is a great addition to our laundry room! We don't get up to 20 washes though because we have a lot of cotton clothes and a dog that sheds a lot of fur. That's why I have to change the cartridge more often but still, I believe that's a small sacrifice that makes a big difference for our planet.
